I gained a lot of strength after being in a mental care facility right after I was assaulted. I was strong for myself, when I shouldn't have been. When I needed everyone around me to be strong for me, no one was there. I had to pick up the pieces and move on even though it was tough.

I am not a victim, I am a survivor.
