The Sweetest Surrender

Surrender to the divine power at work.
You don't have to believe in God to know there is more out there than what we can see.

To surrender isn't to become a passive observer in your own life, but an active participant ready and wiling to go with the ebb and flow of life. Things won't always go your way, but every time they do not, you have an opportunity to accept and grow.

Surrender your ego
Open your heart
Release your armor

Life will ask a lot of you. You must be ready and willing to respond to the call. We live our lives like a dance - while we cannot lead, we cannot be dragged along kicking and screaming. Be vulnerable yet present so you can follow the next step. Make life your own - add your own flair while dancing the dance it has laid out for you.

Let go of what you cannot change.
"Do what is yours to do; don't do what is not yours to do." ~ Swami Rama

Surrender to my words
Surrender to sensation
Surrender to the earth

Use your strength to engage every moment, but use your softness to flow where life wants to take you.

It will test your faith.
It will remind you to be humble.
It will tear you apart but it will fill every crack in your soul.

Be here now
Relax into the moment
Trust your path

Ultimately there is nothing I can tell you
about surrender except
Having nothing and wanting nothing;
Not keeping score,
Not trying to be richer,
Not being afraid of losing:
Not being particularly interested
in our own personalities;
Choosing to be happy,
no matter what happens to us.
These are some of the clues,
The rest we learn with practice and grace.
